Support for New Baby and Toddler Group in Wootton

Wootton Cllr John Wheeler has used his Council Ward Fund to make a contribution to a new baby and toddler group in the village.

‘Wootton Tots’ will open on Tuesday 19th January at the Harris Way site of Wootton Lower School.

The group offers a chance for youngsters to socialise and develop whilst mums and dads exchange tips, meet new friends and have a cup of tea.  Children’s Centre experts will also drop in on sessions to provide advice.

The group will run on a monthly basis initially, with the possibility of more frequent meetings if it is successful. Sessions will start at 8.35am which will allow mums and dads to come along after dropping off older siblings at Wootton Lower School.  Parents and carers of children aged 0 – 4 are welcome to visit any time up until 10am.

Cllr Wheeler said:

‘I am very pleased to support Wootton Tots with an allocation from my Council Ward Fund.  Groups such as this bring the Wootton community together and should be supported.’
