Cllr Alison Foster this week attended the opening of a new playground for housing association residents in Harrold.
The new play area in Peaches Close was opened on 11th April by Bedford Pilgrim Hosing Association (BPHA) Housing Officer Greg Cox and his young son, Hayden, who greatly enjoyed helping his dad select the play equipment!
Cllr Foster visited the play area in March with the BPHA property manager and asked if something could be done to improve the facility which is owned by BPHA and in need of refurbishment. Alison was delighted when BPHA subsequently arranged for new and exciting play equipment to be installed and for the area to be fully refurbished and enclosed with fencing to keep dogs out.
Alison said:
‘I think it is fantastic. I am really pleased BPHA has done this. It is wonderful for little children to have access to such a safe area full of exciting equipment. I am very grateful to BPHA.’
