The flooding of the car park at St Mary's Church in Carlton has been resolved following action from Cllr Alison Foster.

On a post to her Facebook page, Cllr Foster said:

'Earlier this year I was alerted to the flooding in the newly resurfaced church car park at St Mary's in Carlton. This was caused by blocked grips in the road. 

'I arranged with the Borough Highways Department for these to be unblocked and the Borough offered to raise the dropped kerb very slightly to prevent overflow in heavy rain into the car park. Hopefully this will now prevent flooding this winter.'
