Yesterday evening Harold Ward representative Cllr Alison Foster held the latest of her Community Safety Forum meetings for local residents.
Established by Cllr Foster in October 2012, the Harrold Ward Community Safety Forum aims to improve life in each of the Ward’s villages and give residents the opportunity to come and speak to representatives of the police and local agencies.
Due to the Ward’s problems with flooding in recent months, Cllr Foster asked the Environment Agency to attend the Forum last night to discuss the work they have been doing to alleviate flooding in the area and to advise residents on how they can protect themselves from water damage. The meeting was well attended and residents also heard from representatives from the Police, Fire Service, Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association, Bedford Borough Council and Neighbourhood Watch.
The Community Safety Forum is held once every four months and residents will be notified of the date of each forthcoming meeting.
