A number of improvements have been made to Bromham Nature Reserve following Ward Fund contributions from Cllrs Roger Rigby and Jon Gambold.
The changes include a new road sign installed on the junction of Village Road and Lower Farm Road to guide visitors.
Furthermore, coppicing work has been undertaken which has allowed for a linking path to create a circular walk and a seating area with 2 new picnic benches.
A new bird hide for observing the terns has also been installed following a kind donation of a garden shed by a village resident.
The works were undertaken by contractors appointed by Bedford Borough Council and volunteers from the Bromham Nature Club. Cllrs Rigby and Gambold contributed £1474 in total.
Cllr Rigby said:
‘Bromham Nature Reserve is a hidden gem in the village. We very much hope that these improvements will further enhance the experience for visitors.’
Cllr Gambold added:
‘We would like to thank the Bromham Nature Club for their hard work and dedication in maintaining Bromham Nature Reserve as a magnificent setting for visitors to enjoy local nature and wildlife.’
